Info

Brick factories and the red clay blocks they produce are in demand after the earthquake. The labourers on this particular site are mostly migrant workers from India. It’s striking sight; every worker is covered in a fine layer of red dust from the dozen or so bricks they carry with each journey. For every set of bricks they bring to the truck, they receive a token, and each token translates into payment. So the more they work, the faster they work, the more they get paid.
