Info

My favourite colour is green. My favourite food is rice and cassava. My favourite music is techno, and my favourite game is volleyball.
Why do you like this school? ‘I like the school’s colour (green), and I like how the teachers teach.
Integrated science is the best because I want to be a doctor, so that when my parents get sick I can help.
I have 7 brothers and sisters (3 boys, 4 girls)
In JSS2 I dropped out for one year because I got pregnant. My brother, who was taking care of me, went to Bo, so I stayed with his wife but she maltreated me and wouldn’t feed or clothe me.
My friend advised me to get a boyfriend to help with the hardship but I said no, the things got so bad I had no choice and I had no money for contraception so I got pregnant. After I had the baby, the boy’s parents paid for me to go back to school for two terms when I was 15. The boy’s parents didn’t have much so I didn’t have books or lunch.
I still stay with the boy’s parents but he has gone to Bo. My baby is 1 year and 7 months, he’s a boy called Alisha Conteh.
I haven’t paid my fees this term. The boys parents can’t pay any more and I have no mother or father to help me. GATE is going to pay my school fees. It helps me.
At the after school club we learn new things, we learn to sit quietly. I was isolated, but now I’m not. I know how to share my feelings.
If women are educated it will develop the country. Women will create jobs and facilities for women and more girls will go to school.
